The Library Sections
a. Filipiniana Section. Filipiniana collections are collection of books written by Filipino authors, or materials about the Philippines that are written by Filipinos or Foreign authors.
b. Circulation Section. This section includes books dealing with various topics other than the Philippines. Books here are written by foreign authors. Clients are required to use filled up research form indicating the call number, titles, and author. This form will be their guide in looking for the needed materials. These references can be loaned out to bonafide students up to two titles for a period of 2 days and renewable for another day if nobody needs it.
c. General Reference Section. General reference collections are materials that support the students in their researches. They are Encyclopedias, Yearbooks, Dictionaries, Manuals, Atlas, Gazetteer, Almanacs, Handbooks, Directories and Biographical Dictionaries are arranged systematically in the shelves. These are access freely by the clients but their uses are limited within the walls of the library or for “Room Use Only”.
d. Reserve Section. These are collections with a limited number of copies and imported books of one copy only are included in the reserve section collection.
e. Periodical and Serial Section. Contains collections such as newspapers, magazines, journals, pamphlets and other continuing resources. materials in this are are for inside use only.
LIBRARY POLICY
A. Issuance of Library Cards
Application for library cards must be done upon enrollment until the deadline set by the librarian. No more application for library cards is entertained after the deadline set by the librarian. A. 1. Requirements (New & Old Students without library I.Ds) 1. Photocopy of the Certificate of registration and assessment (CRA). 2. 2 pcs. of latest 1x1 I.D pixture 3. A payment of P100.00 will be collected for I.D. Processing. A. 2. Requirements for lost Library I.D’s 1. Report to the librarian immediately upon the lost of library I.D’s. 2. Temporary library card will be issued upon depositing (P100.00) and submission of photocopy of the Certificate of registration and Assessment (CRA). 3. Submit 1 pc. 1x1 latest I.D picture. 4. If lost or misplaced Library I.D will be found, present it to the librarian so that the deposited amount will be returned and temporary library card will be retrieved. A. 3. Validation of Library I.Ds 1. After the enrollment of the current semester, have your library I.D validated by the librarian by submitting a photocopy of your recent CRA. Invalidated Library I.Ds will not be honored in borrowing books. A. 4. Signing of Clearance 1. Library I.D must be surrendered during the signing of clearances. No library i.ds no signing of clearance. B. Borrowing of Books. Students are held accountable for all books/materials borrowed in the library.

Reserved Books
Circulation and Filipiniana Materials
General Reference Materials Reference materials found in the reference section such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, yearbooks, biographies, etc. are for library use only. It is not allowed to be borrowed overnight. Periodical and Serial Collections Periodicals and serial collections are for library use only. It is not allowed to be borrowed overnight. C. Policy on Lost Books 1. Report immediately lost books to the librarian to stop charging of fines. 2. Books should be replaced by the same title, author and copyright date or if out of stock or out of print, books with similar title will be allowed provided that it is current. Replacement should be done as soon as possible so as not to hinder the use of the said book. |
library time schedule
The LMRC opens at 7:00 A.M and closes at 5:00 P.M with no noon break every Mondays – Fridays except during holidays and 1:00PM – 5:00PM every Sundays.
